With the growing presence of civil society associations and corporations as providers of social welfare outside the State, there is increasing attention to the roles that citizens, corporations and governments play in promoting social development and diminishing inequality. At the 16th ICSD Internati­onal Symposium in Monterrey, Mexico, issues, challenges and solutions related to a shared responsibility among civil society, corporations and governments will be discussed.

Th­e overall conference objectives are to:
  • To explore the issues, challenges and solutions to social development and inequality and
  • To discuss and delineate the roles and responsibilities that civil society associations, corporations a­nd governments play in promoting social development and reducing inequality.

The conference organiser is the International Consortium for Social Development.­
