This seminar reviews evidence-based policy-making and the potential role of evaluation as a key, and a systematic, source of evidence and will be presented by Dr Ian Goldman, Deputy Director General, Evaluation and Research, DPME, The Presidency.
Cabinet approved the National Evaluation Policy Framework on 23 November 2011. For the first time South Africa has a national framework for the systematic use of evaluation to learn and improve government performance, to improve accountability and decision-making. A National Evaluation Plan will be developed based on key national priorities. Six types of evaluation are defined with the roles of different actors in the process.For more information ...
