A 12-day accredited graduate level course that aims to ground Municipal Managers, IDP Managers and Participation Managers in the methodology and art of facilitating participatory Ward Plans, and their integration into IDPs. This course has been accredited at South Africa National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 5. NOTE: The application deadline is 5 February.

The workshop will include an introduction to the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach (SLA) as well as theories, methodologies and tools on how to undertake a participatory Community-based Planning. The objective of the Community Based Planning (CBP) is to develop realistic community-based plans for policy change, implementing or piloting planning systems, where participating in­stitutions have committed to taking these plans forward.
