South African reference documents

The South African Presidency, National Treasury and Public Service Commission have developed guidelines and related documents for conducting periodic reviews: ­

Development Indicators 2010: The product of a variety of official statistics, government data bases and research by various institutions which are clustered into about ten themes, namely economic growth and transformation, employment, poverty, inequality, household and community assets, health, education, social cohesion, safety and security, international relations and good governance (National Planning Commission, December 2010).

Seventh consolidated public service monitoring and evaluation report: Evaluation cycle 2009/2010:Contains the results of data compiled from 30 individual reports of two national and 28 provincial departments assessed during the 2009/10 evaluation cycle utilising the Public Service Commission’s Transversal Public Service Monitoring and Evaluation System (M&E System) (February 2011).
