    The Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna together with the Life-Science-Governance Research Platform (LSG), the Austrian Political Science Association (ÖGPW), Institute of Forest, Environmental, and Natural Resource Policy at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) hosts the 8th International Interpretive Policy Analysis (IPA) conference under the title Societies in Conflict: Experts, Publics and Democracy.

  • Accra, Oct 3, GNA - Mr Kweku Antwi-Boasiako, Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, said government was planning to develop and implement a pilot social pension scheme for the older persons without formal social security in 2013.He said it would be done alongside strengthening the existing social security schemes for the older persons.

    Innovative technologies explored included point of use water filter technologies. The importance of POU technologies for improving access to clean drinking water cannot be underestimated. They are usually simple, inexpensive technologies which positively affect the health of rural households by reducing the prevalence of water borne diseases. Despite this these technologies are often underutilized. The Innovation for Poverty Alleviation programme is funded by the EU Sector Budget Support programme and managed by the Department of Science and Technology, and has been running since 2009.
